The design of Prime AE’s new Columbus offices is an engine for collaboration and growth.

Engineering firm Prime AE has experienced phenomenal expansion through strategic acquisitions, increasing staff from 110 employees to over 250 in just three years.

This rapid business acceleration spurred the leadership to reexamine the needs of their Columbus workplace with an eye towards enabling greater connectivity amongst teams while reinforcing the firm’s corporate identity.

A challenging 4-month schedule called for an innovative approach to successfully navigate critical deadlines driven by vendors, contractors, and sub-trades to name a few. Our multi-disciplinary team designed and delivered offices that are both agile and adaptable in less than 120 days.

Our pragmatic approach mitigated unforeseen changes and increased the speed at which the project could progress to completion by taking issues of buildability into consideration from the start.

The completed office features impromptu meeting areas and a light-filled cafe that support collaboration along with flexible conference rooms, equipped with integrated technology, that facilitate communication between the firm’s multiple locations.

As a testament to the project’s success, the dynamic design solution, which contrasts warm, traditional materials against bold colors and contemporary elements, now serves as a template for Prime AE’s future workplaces.
