Global blast cleaning and protective coating equipment supplier, Blast One, worked with us to establish a strategy for the predicted growth in their US Headquarters and industrial warehouse operations. We used our findings to inform the design and ultimate delivery of an updated work environment, which better facilitates their mission by taking the established global brand and adapting it to the Ohio region’s unique identity.

Together we envisioned a contemporary, open-office environment with soaring ceilings, multiple illumination options, and digital access throughout. To realize this, we incorporated undulating ceilings in varying tile sizes. Painted drywall intersects with seams of light that dive into the space and recess into the ceiling.

Flooring serves as wayfinding and reference spaces are articulated with custom-fabricated wood spines sharing the same seams of light. Projectors are housed within the ceilings to animate the walls with digital art.

We also worked with Blast One to secure a newly constructed warehouse which serves as a critical component of their supply chain and is deeply intertwined with workplace operations.

In the delivery phase, we brought our deep local understanding to satisfy US regulations, retain prescribed building standards, and comply with local codes, while ensuring seamless operations with their other global locations.
